JEE Main 2016 Application Form correction to begin from January 21

JEE Main 2016 Online Application Form is over. The last date for online submission was January 11, 2016. Now if the candidate has made mistake in their form, they can rectify the same from January 21-31, 2016.

Did you erroneously entered wrong date of birth? Have you made spelling mistake in your name? Don’t worry! You can rectify your mistake from January 21 to January 31, 2016. Correct your mistakes below.

Correction in uploaded image

CBSE has allowed students to edit/rectify the uploaded images in JEE Main 2016 online application form. In order to correct the mistakes, candidates need to log in using Application Number and Password on the official website.

CBSE will send SMS and email to the candidates, in case of discrepancy in the images uploaded. Once a candidate receives the notification, he/she should log in and re-upload the images.

Correction in application form

• Candidates can make correction from January 21, 2016 on the official website
• The last date for rectification is January 31, 2016

• No extension will be given to any candidate, under any circumstance
• In case of fee difference after form correction, the additional amount should be paid by the candidates through credit/debit card or e-challan in the Canara/ICICI/HDFC/Syndicate Bank during 21.01.2016 to 31.01.2016
• Candidates need to be careful while making the correction, as this will be their last chance. After the last date, no corrections/rectifications will be entertained by the JEE Unit.
• Candidates cannot make changes/corrections in:
• Exam center/exam city
• Mode of examination from computer (online) to pen & paper based (offline)

Procedure for correction in application form

Even if you made mistakes in the application form, do not panic. Follow the below steps:

• Check your submitted application form and make note of particulars the need to be changed/rectified
• Once this is done, visit the application form correction link
• Log in using application number and password
• Make essential changes and update the form
• Make additional payment, if applicable
• Candidates appearing in Class 12th in 2016 or appearing for improvement in the same year must fill up the Roll number of Class 12th in the relevant column
• In case of no additional fee, the correction will be updated in the form immediately
• In case additional exam fee is required, the changes will reflect only the successful payment of the amount
